SCHOLARSHIPS, STIPENDS AND ENDOWMENTS


Stipends will be paid as per Government Rules to eligible candidates.
Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Christian converts from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be granted full fee concession including exemption from payment of all kinds of fees without any restriction with reference to the income of the parents.  In addition to full fee concession, these students will be granted actual boarding and lodging charges or monthly stipend and lump sum grant for purchase of books and dress at the rates specified.

Other Backward Community students and converts from Other Backward Communities to Christianity will be granted full fee concession on production of necessary income and community
certificates together with their application in time, the annual income limit being `  25,000 provided they are not in receipt of stipend or subsistence allowance.

The grant of stipends, scholarships and concessions is subject to the rules in force in each year.

                                                                Endowments

(1)  The Kunhikrishnan Nambiar Smaraka Nidhi

An endowment has been placed with the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments,  Kerala State in the name of the late P. Kunhikrishnan Nambiar, former Lecturer of this College.  A cash prize will be awarded from the interest of the Nidhi each year to the B. Ed. student who secures the highest marks in the University Examination.

(2)  N. Balakrishnan Endowment

An endowment has been placed with the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments, Kerala State in the name of Sri N. Balakrishnan, former Lecturer (retired) in this College.  A cash prize will be awarded from the interest of the endowment each year to the B. Ed. student who secures the highest marks in English in the University Examination.

(3)  K. Gopalan Nair Endowment

An endowment has been placed with the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments, Kerala State in the name of  Sri K. Gopalan Nair, former Professor of Physical education (retired) in this College.  A cash prize will be awarded from the interest of the endowment each year to the B. Ed. student who is the best athlete for the year.
